Performer Spotlight - Izzie McCormick

This month's Spotlight Performer is a relative newcomer to The 815. Debuting in April 2018 with "A Whole New World," Izzie McCormick quickly captured hearts with her charming performances and amazing voice. We are delighted to feature this rising star this month!

Izzie studies voice with Heather King of King Music Studio. Outside of The 815, Izzie sings with the Youth Choir at her church, St. Francis of Assisi. She also sings with the school choir at Hadley Middle School where she is a sixth grader. Izzie recently competed at the IGSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest and received a perfect score.

Izzie participates in her school Drama Club and is currently working on the spring musical, both as a performer and choreographer. She will also be performing two solos at the upcoming Easter Seals Telethon for the Joliet Region on April 13, 2019. She will be one of the students representing King Music Studios. Of the upcoming performance, Izzie says, "I am super excited and honored to be a part of something so special."

Izzie is also a trained dancer, starting lessons at at age 2. She has also studied piano with Kaliegh Jerkatis of Simply Music Studio in New Lenox. She is currently writing her own song and hopes to sing it at one of The 815 performances.

Why Izzie loves The 815:

"I love that The 815 gives me the opportunity to perform and share my talent. I especially love to listen to all the other talented performers and to be a part of a group of great people. I have loved getting to know new people and making new friends."
